How To Use A Skipping/jump Rope For Fitness And Toning

I see myself as pretty fit consider I spend a lot of time (during the day) at a computer and night time working in kitchens, but I do find a lot of time for fitness especially through my Boxing training and one actually my one and only favorite tool and can not speak more highly about is my Skipping or as also called the Jump rope.

1. Before you ever do any exercise, Always warm up and do a light stretch, especially your legs before you skip.

2. Stand infront of a mirror (no mirror, no problem) and hold the rope with a lose grip and it should feel nice and comfortable in your hands.

3. Breath nice and easy, keep your back straight and eyes looking forward.

4. Touch your sides with your elbows bringing your hands out at around a 90 degree angle and start swinging the rope jumping with your two feet and landing on the balls of your feet.
